AaE staff have voted overwhelmingly to endorse the ASU EBA deal negotiated and recommended by the ASU's AaE National Negotiating Team. In a significant turnout of eligible staff (75% of voters) 98% of these staff voted in favour of the Agreement.
A big thank you must go to our hard working ASU National Negotiating Team who put in many extra hours at meetings and in their own time to make sure ASU member got the best deal possible.
What next?
AaE and the ASU are currently finalising all documentation to be lodged with Fair Work Commission. Once the Fair Work Commission approves the agreement it commences.
We are also confirming with Qantas when staff travel entitlements will be available, we understand Qantas senior management need to sign off formally but this should happen shortly.
When do I get my pay rise?
Once the EBA has been approved by Fair Work Commission, the AaE pay office can adjust wage rates from 1 July 2015. AaE staff are also eligible for the recently announced bonus in late August 2015 after the profit announcement.
