After many years of faithful service, ASU National Net was today replaced by ASUnational, the new website of the Australian Services Union National Office. As well as a fresh new look, ASUnational has been designed to make our website visitors' experience much more rewarding.
Key features of the new website include:
- an appealing lay out where content is easy to digest;
- comprehensive navigation structures through drop down menus and footer links to help you find what you are looking for;
- the ability to jump to ASU Branch websites from anywhere (by using the blue "Branch Websites" tab under the white menu bar); and
- links to our social media channels at the top right of every page.
"We put a lot of thought into how to redevelop our website after surveying visitors and our Branches and we think we have achieved a balance between content and accessibility," said ASU National Secretary David Smith.
"We hope that our visitors, particularly our regular visitors, find the new website much easier to use and are able to find the information they need," David Smith added.
Further features of the website will be rolled out shortly, including a new ASUjoin for online applications, a polling feature and a redesigned email campaign tool.
"The ASUnational website is a key part of the ASU's communications strategy which we intend to use to its utmost to help the Union represent the interests of our members as effectively as possible," David Smith concluded.
