PSI attendance at G20 and related events, Brisbane12-16 November 2014

10 October 2014 By Public Services International (PSI)

The G20 leaders meeting is taking place on 15-16 November 2014 in Brisbane, Australia. PSI will be attending to advocate for quality public services.

Public Services International (PSI) has been following G20 progress this year, especially in relation to the work the OECD is doing on behalf of the G20 to ensure that multinational corporations pay their fair share of tax, called the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) project. PSI has also been following the G20's work on infrastructure investment, jobs and austerity.

PSI has been arguing for reforms to the tax system to fund quality public services and public infrastructure to reduce inequality and promote economic growth.

ASU Assistant National Secretary Greg McLean will also be attending the Brisbane meeting. The ASU supports the work of our affiliate PSI.
