Preparations have begun for the commencement of negotiations with Jetstar for a new Agreement (EBA) to replace our current agreement which expires on 30th September 2013 (although it continues until it is replaced).
The first stage of our bargaining preparations is determining what staff want in their agreement and as a result we are asking everyone to fill in our EBA 5 survey. The EBA 5 survey is available from ASU organisers and delegates and is open to all staff.
What next?
After the survey results are collated the ASU Jetstar delegates will consider the results and make recommendations about what new provisions (or claims) we want in our new EBA.
We will vote on the claims in meetings of ASU members and then when it is agreed we will start bargaining with Jetstar management. We hope to start negotiations in early August 2013.
Our ASU Jetstar National Negotiating Team will include ASU delegates from all locations and is currently being finalised – ASU members will be represented by this team
