Our Jetstar EBA survey results are now in after almost 150 staff from across Jetstar took the time to respond to our EBA 5 survey.
Your Jetstar ASU National Negotiating Team (NNT) have reviewed the results and have formulated a draft claim to be considered by ASU members.
Meetings being organised
Meetings are being organised in all locations to consider this draft claim before it is given to Jetstar management. Lookout for local meeting dates and times. Once the meetings are completed and our claim is endorsed we will then give our claim to Jetstar and bargaining can commence.
Jetstar bargaining notice
The Fair Work Act requires Jetstar to provide all employees who are to be covered by the proposed EBA 5 with a letter outlining your rights. We expect Jetstar to send out the letter within the next few weeks. Negotiators of EBAs are called "bargaining representatives".
Members of the ASU do not have to do anything about the appointment of a bargaining representative – the ASU is automatically your bargaining representative and the ASU NNT made up of ASU delegates and officials will conduct the negotiations for ASU members.
If you are not an ASU member now is the time to join so you can have a say about the claim and be represented by our team.
Winners are grinners
As previously announced, the winner of our EBA campaign slogan competition was Selinda Korf from Melbourne Head Office who is pictured with ASU Victorian Branch Secretary Ingrid Stitt receiving her gift card prize which was sponsored by ME Bank and ACTU Connect.
