Results of the Jetstar EBA 6 ASU survey are now being made available to ASU members before we ask you to endorse the ASU claim for the next round of bargaining.
National negotiating team
At the recent national meeting of ASU Jetstar delegates it was resolved to finalise our Jetstar EBA 6 claim for this year.
The ASU Negotiating Team is made up of ASU delegates and officials who will conduct the negotiations for ASU members. (download the full bulletin below for details)
ASU delegates and organisers will be holding meetings across the country to seek endorsement of our claim and plan our next EBA campaign.
Make your voice heard
1. Watch out for meetings
Meetings will be held in many locations– watch out for your local meetings – coming to your workplace soon.
2. Are you an ASU member?
NO - go to question 3.
YES - the ASU represents you in bargaining.
3. Join the Union now! The ASU can then represent you when bargaining commences.
Notice of Employee Representational Rights (NERR)
The Fair Work Act requires Jetstar to provide all employees who are to be covered by, or, proposed to be covered by your EBA with a letter outlining your rights.
We expect Jetstar to post the NERR sometime before the end of July.
Negotiators of EBAs are called “bargaining representatives”.
Members of the ASU do not have to do anything about the appointment of a bargaining representative – their ASU Negotiating Team will be made up of ASU delegates and officials who will conduct the negotiations for them.
Non-members can join the ASU now and will not need to do anything when the NERR is issued; it is a legal procedural notice advising people of their rights.
