Your ASU National Negotiating Team (NNT) met with Jetstar management in Melbourne on 8th September 2017 to start negotiations for the ASU Jetstar EBA 6.
Your NNT provided our endorsed ASU claim to management and then gave an overview of what we are seeking in these negotiations.
We will be requesting information from Jetstar to help us with our claims.
The ASU Claim
We also provided the company reps with some more detailed versions of some of our claims as follows:
Claim 8 – Include the excess baggage commission scheme in the EBA
Claim 12 – Improve consultation and information provisions
Claim 13 – Improve the job selection policy to include greater transparency
Claim 15 – Improve how payroll operates and how underpayments and overpayments are dealt with
Claim 16 – Establish rostering committees in each location to improve procedures for roster changes
Claim 17 – Improve access to annual leave
Claim 22 – Regulate how and when fixed term employment is used
Claim 24 – Family violence leave
Copies of the detailed proposals are available from your local ASU organisers or NNT members. The rest of our detailed proposals will be provided at our subsequent meetings with the company.

What’s next?
