After holding report back meetings across Australia, ASU members at JTG have overwhelmingly decided to accept the latest offer for a new agreement at JTG.
The company has been advised of this result and now all staff covered by the agreement (EBA) must consider the recommended EBA and participate in a secret ballot about the agreement in accordance with the Fair Work Act.
What's next?
The company will send a copy of the new JTG Services Pty Limited agreement to all staff whose wages and conditions will be regulated by the new agreement.
After a period of consideration of the proposed agreement, the formal voting process to endorse the agreement will begin.
The voting will be conducted online by an external company Elections Australia Pty Ltd. This company has conducted ballots for ASU EBAs in the past.
The ballot will commence at 9am on Monday 15th April 2013 and will close at midnight on Friday 19th April 2013.
Voting is via the website www.myvote.com.au/jtg where you will be required to submit personal information to access the ballot paper.
You can access the website and vote from any computer with internet access. You can only vote once.
Your vote remains secret and all information is destroyed at the completion of the ballot.
If you have problems with the voting process or have not received the materials contact Matthew Harcombe from JTG by email Matthew.Harcombe@jtg.com.au or by phone 0434 657 717
A copy of the agreement is also available from the ASU.
Although ASU members have voted in the ASU's internal approval process, it is imperative that you also vote in the formal Fair Work Act voting process.
