ACTU President Ged Kearney will attend a high-visibility action and address the media to call on the Prime Minister and senior Ministers including Michaelia Cash and Christian Porter to meet with the ACTU to discuss Family and Domestic Violence.
No member of the Turnbull Government has made the time to meet with these workers, who have travelled to Canberra to ask politicians to consider the desperate need for 10 days paid leave for people experiencing Family or Domestic Violence, enshrined in the National Employment Standards.
The delegation in Canberra today includes representatives from front-line service providers and members of the ASU, AMWU, ETU, HSU, RTBU, NSWNMA and Unions NSW.
