While there is a lot of voting going on later this week across Australia there is also an important vote to cast for the proposed ASU Qantas EBA 10. Voting has opened for the ASU Qantas EBA 10 and all ASU members are urged to vote YES for this EBA before voting closes at midnight Eastern Standard time on Thursday 5 September 2013 (tomorrow).
Voting is accessed via the website http://www.myvote.com.au/asueba10 where you will be required to submit personal information to access the ballot paper. The voting is being conducted by an independent organization Elections Australia Pty Ltd.
You can access the website and vote from any computer with internet access. You can only vote once.
Your vote remains secret and all information is destroyed at the completion of the ballot.
A copy of the ASU Qantas EBA 10 and supporting materials will also be available on the ASU EBA 10 website http://www.asu.asn.au/airlines/qantaseba10
Although ASU members have voted in the ASU's internal approval process and resoundingly endorsed this EBA it is imperative that you also vote in the formal Fair Work Commission voting process. We also ask you to encourage your work colleagues to vote for this EBA which has strong job security commitments attached to it if it is successful.
If you have queries about the proposed EBA contact your local ASU delegate or organizer.
