In late 2020, APM attempted to strip entitlements from its employees, including their right to take RDOs, by asking employees approve a vote to terminate the Konekt Employment Enterprise Agreement 2018. Despite that vote being defeated, the company are again trying to undermine your entitlements.
APM have scheduled a meeting of the Consultative Committee at 3pm on Thursday, 25 March 2021 in order to gather information from employees covered by the Agreement. The ASU suspects that this information will be used to support an application to the Fair Work Commission to terminate the Agreement.
APM are preventing the ASU from attending this meeting. As your bargaining representative, the ASU should be permitted to attend and participate in the meeting.
Meanwhile, the ASU are conducting a survey of APM employees (including those who are and are not covered by the Konekt Employment Enterprise Agreement 2018) in order to learn about your current circumstances and preferences. You can access the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Konekt2021
Thank you to those that have already completed the survey. We are interested to hear from as many APM employees as possible to help us understand what you think is fair and reasonable now and in the future. Please send the above link to your colleagues (including those who are not members of the union) and encourage them to complete the survey.
This survey is confidential and we will treat any information we collect from you in accordance with our privacy policy.
Time to join the union!
The ASU will continue to demand answers from APM about the company’s attack on your entitlements.
Do you have colleagues who are not members of the union? Please send them a copy of this bulletin. If you are not yet an ASU member – it is not too late to join. Sign up now to make sure you are supported during this difficult time: www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
