Your ASU National Negotiating Team (NNT) has put together a draft wage and classification structure which we need your feedback on before we give it to Virgin management at our next bargaining meeting.
Our draft proposal is available from your local ASU NNT member or ASU representative.
What have we put together?
To formulate our proposal for Virgin we have looked at the classifications in Airline Operations Ground Staff Modern Award for our jobs (this is the minimum legal standard), we have taken account of the allowances that Virgin does not pay but which are in the Modern Award and we have looked at what the market is paying for the same jobs and we have come up with our proposal.
We have also been asked to put a proposal that includes Supervisors at Airports and Team Leaders at Guest Contact Centres and so they are included too and they are benchmarked against the Award as well.
Although Virgin management wants the Airport Trainers out of the agreement, they are included too as is a proposal for Day of Operation Planners.

What next?
We are trying to finalise the date for the next bargaining meeting which we hope will be during the week of 18th March 2013, we are waiting to hear back from the company representative to lock in the date.
